Puerto Rican poet and actress Mayda del Valle (’00) is returning to Williams to help Vista kick off their celebration of Latino Heritage Month!

Mayda was the youngest person and only Latina ever to win the Individual National Poetry Slam Championship, has been featured in four seasons of HBO’s “Russel Simmons Presents Def Poetry”, performed in the Tony Award winning Def Poetry Jam on Broadway, and this past summer was listed as one of the “most powerful contemporary and legendary women” on Oprah Winfrey’s first ever Power List in O Magazine.

She will perform her work for the enjoyment of the Williams community on Thursday, November 5, 7-8PM in Goodrich. This event is FREE!
