Now that the Health Center is closed for the summer, I thought this would be the perfect time to tell people a little about where they can get some important health services (all confidentially, as well). The place is called Tapestry Health and it’s part of the North Adams Hospital. It offers:

*free STI and HIV testing
*free condoms (also available at the GSRC in Jenness)
*free pregnancy testing
*emergency contraception (Plan B)
*low cost birth control

The phone number is (413) 664-5659. You just call them up and make an appointment. Tapestryhealth is a great organization, but they rarely have people stop in, because people don’t know they exist. This is unfortunate because North Adams is an area that would greatly benefit from their services. So—if you have any ideas for how they could better publicize their services, especially for the residents of North Adams that don’t get to use our Health Center during the year, do tell!
