This is a highly varied and exciting professional opportunity to gain broad experience in higher education, programming, and fundraising with the Office of Annual Giving. Annual Giving Development Coordinator will work with our experienced development staff to learn how to create, deploy and analyze effective relationship-based fundraising strategies with assigned alumni classes and the undergraduate senior gift program.
The Annual Giving Development Coordinator will work with the Director of Annual Giving and development staff on the implementation of both Alumni Fund and Parents Fund efforts. The Coordinator will have the opportunity to engage in policy and programming discussions and decisions. Under the mentorship of an Alumni Fund Development Officer, he or she is expected to cultivate relationships with key constituencies including volunteers and donors within assigned 3-5 classes, undergraduate student leaders, and other alumni, parents, faculty and staff as necessary. This individual will also help manage and implement many important annual giving projects, including student/parent events, the senior gift program, student thank-a-thon, student/alumni/parent networking event and young alumni events during homecoming.
Candidates should have a baccalaureate degree, computer skills and excellent organizational, oral and written communication. The ability to problem solve and meet deadlines and goals with limited oversight is most beneficial. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, as well as be part of a team, and enjoy working with varied constituencies. Some travel required.
