Endorsed and funded by Williams College, Purple Valley Films is a student‐run organization that promotes and supports independent filmmaking, through weekly movie screenings and its own production of movies. We have professional digital video cameras, microphones, tripods, and lighting equipment. Coupled with state-of-the-art editing facilities provided by the college, our members can enjoy a genuine film-making experience. In a nutshell, Purple Valley Films organizes three types of activities: Movie appreciation Screenings are held weekly. Titles range from classics (e.g. My Fair Lady), to cult (e.g. The Rocky Horror Picture Show), to foreign (e.g. Chungking Express) – movies you don’t normally find in local cinemas. We encourage suggestions from our members. Workshops We conduct workshops to reveal the magic behind the scenes. Movie productions As a student organization dedicated to independent filmmaking, we are actively involved in a number of movie productions. Subscribing to PVF
Subscribe to PVF by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
