About the Band
So who are these freaks, anyway?
Justin, Nick, and Matt entrance the opposing team.
The Marching Band serves as a cheering section at the football games, as well as an entertainment show for halftime. We have many cheers that we use to taunt the other team (and the refs), and we play a lot of music during timeouts to get the crowd going.
What are our shows like? Well, we just happen to have a sample show right here! This show was from the 2005 Homecoming game against AmHerst. The text of the show is read over a loudspeaker while the band stands in formation on the field. The Band then plays a song (where indicated) and "scrambles" into its next formation. It might be a little hard to picture, but hopefully this gives you some idea of what we do...
Interested in joining the band? Here's a letter that got sent to the incoming freshmen this summer. We welcome anyone who wants to play some music, shout some taunts, and eat lots of sugar!

The current student leaders of the band are Katy Dieber '07 (07kld at williams.edu) and Sunmi Yang '08 (08sy at williams.edu). The band is directed by Chris Caproni.
About the Band's Website
History
The Band website was maintained from the dark ages of before-the-current-webmaster-got-to-Williams by Alan Cordova '06. Ben Wood '08 took over the site in the fall of 2005 and completed overhauling it by the end of the year. If anything with the site seems awry, please contact Ben (bwood at wso.williams.edu), so he can fix it.
Browser Compatibility
If you're using an older browser, this site may not display as intended. Some older browsers are not standards-compliant or do not support CSS formatting. I recommend Camino, Safari, or OmniWeb for Mac users, and Firefox for Mac and Windows users. Per the usual, Internet Explorer does some quirky things with it. Please be a good internet citizen and use a browser other than IE.
