Catholic Moral Life

Catholics are called to live first according to The Great Commandment, to love God and love neighbor. We express the former through faith, prayer, and sacrifice. The latter is shown through good works as articulated by Catholic social teachings, beginning with respect for the dignity of the human person as created in the image of God, from conception to natural death. Catholics are called to live a vocation of Christian Beatitude according to the Ten Commandments by practicing virtue, properly forming their moral consciences in fidelity to Church teaching and the natural moral law, performing the spiritual and corporal works of mercy, and participating in the life of society by striving for social justice. Moreover we are commissioned by God to bear faithful witness to our beliefs, proclaiming the Gospel at all times in word and deed.
