Vocations

Williams Catholic seeks to provide ample opportunity for students to discern their vocation within the context of God's will for them; this can take many forms such as married life, religious life, or single life. To this end, Williams Catholic hosts representatives from various religious orders to give students a chance to see what religious life is truly like. These include the Sisters of Life, the Brotherhood of Hope, the Franciscans of the Primitive Observance, the Marians of the Immaculate Conception, and the Legion of Christ, among others. Williams Catholic also hosts speakers that provide examples of living one's Catholic faith on a daily basis. It is strongly encouraged that students take advantage of these opportunities to explore life options and their faith.

Some alumni have pursued the call to the priesthood, religious life, or lay ministry. Michael Sheehan '03 is currently a member of the Franciscans of the Primitive Observance. Elizabeth Ellis '06 is now a first-year FOCUS missionary serving at the University of Maryland at College Park. Jeff Ossinger '05 is a second-year FOCUS missionary at Seton Hall University. Jeff is planning on entering St. John's Seminary in Brighton, Massachusetts in the fall of 2007. John Martino '03, a former FOCUS missionary, was recently married and is now pursuing a graduate degree in theology at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
