Gilligan's Island

  1. Give the full names of all the castaways (excluding Gilligan, whose last name, we all know, is never given).
Jonas Grumby (Skipper); Ginger Grant; Thurston Howell III; Lovey Howell; Mary Ann Summers; Roy Hinkley (The Professor).

  2. What do passengers of the S.S. Minnow get with their 3-hour tour?
    Free lunch.

  3. Why is Mary Ann Summers on the tour?
She won her passage from a romance magazine, back in Kansas.
(NOTE: Gee, I hope "Summers" wasn't really in the question, after Question #1.)

  4. What did the Howells forget to do before boarding the boat?
    Turn off their car.

  5. Who sang the original theme song?
    The Wellingtons.

  6. The Skipper says that the first thing he is going to do when he gets rescued is order a big, fat juicy steak. What is Gilligan going to order?
    A chocolate-covered hamburger.

  7. What is the name of the rock group that tries to relax on the island? What is the name of the group the girls form to impress them, and what song do they sing?
The Mosquitos; The Honeybees and "You Need Us."

  8. What is the problem with the Japanese soldier who appears on the island?
He believes that World War Two is still going on.

  9. Why does the mad scientist take the castaways off the island, to his own evil laboratory?
To use them as guinea pigs for his machine that switches brains.

  10. What is special about the head from the totem pole that Gilligan finds?
    It looks just like Gilligan.

  11. How do the Russian cosmonauts communicate with their superiors?
Through a radio hidden in the spoon of their Swiss Army Knife.

  12. Before splashing down, an American space capsule is going to fly right over the island. What do the castaways do, and how does their plan fail? (Hint: It's Gilligan's fault.)
They try to spell "SOS" with burning logs. But Gilligan catches fire as well, and as he runs around in panic, he pushes the logs forming the last S into an "L." The astronaut named "Sol" is very flattered.

  13. According to the Professor, the island is sinking. Why does he believe this, and how is the problem remedied?
The Professor's marking stick, which he has in the lagoon to measure the water level, is going under. At the end, we discover that Gilligan (no! not him!) has been moving the stick to catch lobsters.

  14. Gilliagn finds a wish ring. What is his last wish, and how is it fulfilled?
He wishes that the castaways would get off the island. And so the piece of the island the seven are standing on breaks off and floats into the lagoon.

  15. Gilligan becomes a millionaire, when he discovers from the radio that he's won the Irish Sweepstakes. Mr. Howell even lets him into his private club. Where is the mistake?
Gilligan matched the winning ticket number off the radio with the previous year's ticket. Realizing the self-perpetuating futility of the capitalist system, Gilligan then slits Mr. Howell's throat with his own gold-plated tie clasp.

  16. What play do the castaways perform, and how do they change it?
"Hamlet"-- they do an operatic musical version.

  17. During an island beauty contest, run in order to rid Mary Ann of the delusion that she is Ginger, what do Mary Ann and Mrs. Howell performduring their talent segments?
Mary Ann: a seductive version of "I Wanna Be Loved By You"; Mrs. Howell: a dull recitation of "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere."

  18. A crate washes ashore with radioactive vegetable seeds. The castaways plant three kinds. Who eats what vegetables, and how do they affect them?
Mary Ann eats carrots, and sees a ship just off the island (it's really hundreds of miles away). Mrs. Howell eats sugar beets, and gets hyper (exercising and cleaning at top speed). Gilligan eats spinach, and becomes super-strong. Later, of course, all the castaways develop cancerous tumors and die in untreatable agony.

  19. What is the name of the butterfly that Lord Beasely is so determined to catch?
    Pussycat Swallowtail

(NOTE: Two of the above answers have been embellished.)
