Purple Prayer Book

Lead Services at the JRC

All Shabbat services at the JRC are lead by students. They reflect the personal choices of the leader and thus change weekly. We have a selection of siddurim from which you may choose, including our own Purple Prayer Book (more on that below.)

To help you design your service, we've put together "A Guide to Leading Services at the JRC." It lists what needs to be included and some things that you may wish to throw in. It also has handy tips to ensure smooth sailing.

Purple Prayer Book Project

One day Emily had an idea. It was a good one, too. She decided to make the siddur to end all siddurim right here in the Purple Valley. High time, she thought, that this community have a prayer book reflecting our needs and style of worship. She got together with Elissa and enlisted the help of a rabbi, a visiting prof, an expert on Islam and the Williams Jewish community to write and publish the Purple Prayer Book.
