The basics
The Williams College Mac User Group is a Williams College student organization,
recognized and funded by
College Council. While we are registered
with
Apple and
User Group Connection, we do not
recieve any Apple funding.
What's in a name?
Formally, this organization is the Williams College Mac User Group. It is more commonly known as
WCMUG, pronounced "Double-You-Cee-Mug" or "Wick-Mug"; on campus, one can simply talk about "the MUG."
Some of us call the thing "Clan Williams" or "Clan MacWilliams," but then again, some of us run Duos as web servers.
Members
We'll put up a roster page sometime.
About the site
David Ramos designed this site
back in 1998. He writes, "No, I don't ordinarialy write like
this, and no, I didn't
take care to make sure that the pages look good in MSIE running under
WinNT. Computers used: Douglas Haig Boxhedges-Yew (David's PowerMac
7200/120), and public lab PowerMac 7300/180s, all running the MacOS.
All code was written using the freeware BBEdit
Lite, the world's greatest text editor;
Adobe Photoshop 4; Claris HomePage (for imagemaps); and Aaron Giles'
freeware graphics utility, Transparency. (BBEdit and Transparency are
in the AppleShare software archive.) Typefaces used include London Tube
and Gill
Sans."
The site
is currently maintained by Robin Stewart,
mainly using Dreamweaver MX. Contact him
if you have any problems or suggestions regarding the website. |
