Hi! Welcome to the Williams College Feminist Alliance, a group dedicated to working for the recognition and celebration of women on our campus and beyond. We hold weekly meetings that are usually focused around an issue or planning for an event. We're also responsible for planning Women's History Month, and hold other special events year-round.
Despite the current stigma against labeling oneself a "feminist," for fear of seeming too radical, the Feminist Alliance embraces the term regardless of stereotypes. We do not have any sort of ideological agenda, apart from the betterment of women, and members often disagree soundly on many issues. Our common belief in feminism is what brings us together . . . .
. . . that, and a great love of fun. Besides our more serious projects, we manage to throw parties, movie nights, and cooking jams that are always accompanied by a great deal of laughter. We enjoy each other's company and the companionship that can only come from a supportive group of people.
