Dear Council,
Homecoming is approaching! I'm working on the annual CC sponsored
Homecoming Car Contest where every group of students who gets a
tailgating spot is encouraged to dress up, decorate their cars and
make delicious food all for the chance to win BIG prizes (think
hundreds of dollars in gift certificates). It is always a fun event
and hopefully it will generate some real excitement before the game.
What I need from you!
1) a student (or pair of students) who wants to come up with a
Voting RUBRIC! Basically we will have 3 faculty/staff judges who
will walk around the tailgates and choose the 1) Best Neighborhood
Tailgate and 2) Best All-Around Tailgate. In order to judge fairly
they have to have some criterion to go off of. If you have an
interest in formulating this rubric, please volunteer and you can
make your mark on homecoming history!
possible ideas: best costumes, best food, most creative use of
materials, most original etc....
2) Suggestions for judges. I can basically ask anyone under the sun,
but that won't guarantee they will say yes. So, if you can shoot me
some suggestions of faculty/staff who would be fantastic, fun judges
who have universal appeal with the student body that would be stellar.
suggestions: Morty, Robin from Snack Bar, EJ Johnson (art history),
Gail Newman....AND YOUR IDEAS
Thanks guys, can't wait to hear what you come up with!
all the best,
Diana
