Please know that *there are no prerequisites or prior qualifications necessary for positions on the board.* *Elections for any contested positions will occur on April 4, at 9:00 PM in the Jewish Religious Center (JRC).* That meeting, like all of our weekly Wednesday board meetings, is open to all. If you would like to vote but know you will be unable to make the meeting, please contact Tamar. Self-nominations should be submitted *individually*. Should candidates wish to run as a ticket, both should submit self-nominations, and make it clear to Tamar that they hope to serve as a team (which is very encouraged!). In the event that there are more than 2 nominations for a position, and a co-directorship is desired by the candidates, the top 2 vote-getters will assume the co-directorship. I hope you have been having a wonderful spring break and have a good start to Passover tonight! I'm writing to share two announcements: First, the JRC kitchen is completely kosher for Passover and will be stocked with Passover food and available for cooking over the holiday! Anyone is invited to come by and cook some delicious Passover food. The kitchen will be open on *Monday, April 2 through Thursday, April 5 *for mealtimes as follows: *Breakfast, 7:30-9:30am; Lunch, 12-2pm; Dinner: 6-8pm*. On *Friday, April 6*, the kitchen will be open for breakfast and lunch, and there will be Shabbat dinner at *7pm *as per usual. On *Saturday, April 7*, the kitchen will be open, and there will be Shabbat lunch at *1pm *as per usual. Please note that on Saturday there can be no cooking in the kitchen in observance of Shabbat. At all times when the kitchen is open for cooking, a member of the WCJA board will also be present to answer any questions. Second, on *Tuesday, April 3*, Joy Ladin, the first and only openly transgender employee of an Orthodox Jewish institution, will explore the intersections and collisions of trans and Jewish identity through her personal experience and her work on theorizing trans identities in relation to religious traditions.
