She will lead us in a self reflective conversation on the politics of Muslim women leadership, cultural and worship spaces in the experience of American Islam. Dr. Khalil’s talk will help bring understanding and healing to our campus and the general Williams audience on the importance of diversity, inclusion and equity. This lecture is timely today given the external challenges not only to the ban on migration to America of Muslims but we are internally confronted, conflicted and confused by a multitude of identity and religious questions relevant to our times. Muslim students often have difficult times navigating such religious, political, and social concerns alone in America. Dr. Khalil will offer a talk on the ways Muslims have been uniquely negotiating and dynamically confronting issues on gender, race, and identity in American Islam.</span></font></div><div><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000"><br></font></div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000"><br></font></div><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000">Please find both fliers attached below and forward them as soon as you can. </font></div><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000"><br></font></div><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000">Sincerely, </font></div><span class="HOEnZb"><font color="#888888"><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000"><br></font></div><div><div class="m_-4839073913249195916gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr"><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000">Omar Kawam<br></font></div><div><font face="georgia, serif" color="#000000">MSU Co-Chair</font></div></div></div>
