Message-ID: <697F0E74-128C-4218-A851-472C3DCFB93D@williams.edu> Hello returning WCFM DJs! Happy Sunday, and welcome back to another semester! As of now, the current schedule for radio shows is live, and can be found at this link: https://sites.williams.edu/wcfm/schedule/ . If you have any questions about the schedule, please contact Ben at bnk1 at williams.edu . All radio shows will officially resume tomorrow, September 9th (Monday). We know that this is short notice, but we wanted to give everyone a chance to broadcast this week if they wanted to. If you would like to start next week, that is also fine. Some important reminders for ALL DJs (new or returning): Swipes: We are in the process of getting everyone swipe access again as soon as possible (it resets over the summer). I would recommend heading to the station 10 minutes before your show to try out your card. If you can?t get in, you can text/call me at 973-525-0980. Logs!!: It is extremely important that you fill out the necessary logs for each and every show. This includes the programming logs, transmission logs, and radioactivity. Transmitter: The transmitter should never be left on if no one is in the studio. This happened several times last year, and the FCC gets angry at us? Equipment: This past year, we worked on fixing up the station office, and installed a brand new turntable and speakers for all to use. Please treat these (as well as the studio equipment, turntable needles, vinyls, etc.) with respect, so that everybody can enjoy them. That?s all for now! Let me know if you have any questions. Looking forward to having everyone back on the air! From one disc jockey to another, Matt Newman WCFM General Manager -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Check out this message from George Taylor about Quadio, a new college-based music streaming platform. Let him know (gmt1 at williams.edu ) if you are interested in learning more! Matt -------------------- Hey, what?s up, this is George Taylor, class of 2022. I?m reaching out because I'm planning on putting together an information session on the new college-based music streaming platform I?m helping build. To give you a little background, the platform, called Quadio (https://www.quadio.com), is designed to be a digital music hub at your campus where student artists can come share their music, find other artists in their immediate community to make music with, and ultimately, help your peers hear the music that you create. Would love to set up a time to show people with a demonstrated interest in music how the app works and field any feedback you might have. This concept is completely tailored towards student artists, so your feedback/opinions are everything. The app will be launching in January so it's also a cool way to get ahead of the game at the campus level before then! Look forward to hearing from you! WCFM 91.9 is hosting the second Live @ the Rectory event this Friday, September 27th. Doors open at 9. I've attached the flyer, but this week's show will have Mia Lisette opening and Top Sheet headlining. Mia Lisette, who will be accompanied by Adriiian, lies somewhere in a messy intersection between Jazz, R&B, Bossa Nova, and your typical indie singer/songwriter. She will go on at 10pm. Top Sheet is fronted by Piper Higgins and also includes Zach Babat on drums, Chris Heckelman on lead guitar, Owen Highland on rhythm guitar, and Patrick Postec on bass. This eclectic crew of power Juniors will have you dancing dirty to their set list featuring Johnny Cash, The 1975, and Cyndi Lauper--ohh BABY! Top sheet goes on at 10:45. This is a space open to everyone. xxoo, WCFM 91.9 If you graduated and don't want to receive this message, unsubscribe yourself here: wso.williams.edu/mailman/listinfo -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
