Cider on the Mountain: Rude Cider plays a contradance tune at Mountain Day, 2002.

Rude Cider is Dancing Folk's own house band. Members play fiddles, guitars, flutes and whistles, piano, banjoes, feet, and pretty much anything else acoustic. Repertoire consists of jigs, reels, waltzes, and a bit of miscellany, from Irish, Canadian, Bluegrass, and sundry other traditions.

Rude Cider rehearses about once a week and plays most of Dancing Folk's monthly dances. It welcomes students (and community members) of many levels of ability.

If you play an instrument and are interested in folk music or dance tunes, please email and we'll keep you informed about when we rehearse.
