Removed the initial stub below because new explanation provided by "members of class of 2000 and 2001" seems more reliable:
I haven't witnessed this, but heard from Alaya Kuntz '04 that, a while ago, there was a "war" in the Odd Quad between two Toms, via tray carvings. People would carve something like "Cult of Tom" regardless of which Tom they were for, and somehow everyone would know which Tom it was. Can anyone confirm?--Plaidfury 15:59, 13 October 2005 (EDT)
Also removed was a suggestion that the stub was referring to the presence of "Cult of Tom" and "Cult of Thom" trays
