WSO Services

This document provides a general outline of the services offered by WSO. By using WSO services, an individual agrees to follow the policies governing the use of these services.

Any individual may browse WSO‘s web services without logging in to WSO. Start exploring on the home page. The following is a (perhaps complete) list of WSO services.

• Announcements: post announcements on the WSO home page.
• Discussions: discuss the important or mundane.
• Exchange: exchange goods, find a buyer or a seller.
• Facebook: look up people on campus.
• Factrak: rate and discuss professors (hosted by WSO for College Council, available to current students only).
• Jobs: post or take a job.
• Lost + Found: reunite the missing with their owners.
• Rideboard: find or offer a ride.
• Willipedia: an extensive resource on everything Williams related.

Currently, users with OIT accounts may log into any of the web services listed above, with the exception of Factrak. Only students may log into Factrak.

WSO accounts are available to members of the Williams College community. In addition to the privilege of posting on any of the WSO web services, a WSO account includes:

• email forwarding
• web hosting (with PHP)
• personal storage space with remote access
