Hey everybody! Sorry it's been so long since the last update. We
haven't been playing as much lately because everyone is away at
school. We did get together to jam over Thanksgiving break and began
work on a couple of new songs. Listen to the "Bullwinkle's
Revenge" teaser in the music section
to get a taste of what's to come.
Be sure to check out some of our merchandise at the online store
Cafe Shops. Right
now they're only carrying an Otis baseball jersey, but soon they'll
have some t-shirts, mugs, and other assorted items.
For the show at MASS MoCA, we'll be playing with two other local
bands: Remaj and Milo's Pulse. The show starts at seven, and we
start our thirty-five minute set at 7:50. Tickets cost $6.00, but
because of the low fire capacity (170 people), people should call
ahead to reserve tickets. The number is 664-2111.
Hope everybody's had a good couple of months, and look forward
to seeing you at the shows in January!

Added a tour dates page here. It
looks pretty empty now, but check back soon for more dates and ticket
information.
We've also had some problems with people going to the wrong mp3.com
site. For now, the site's been changed to http://www.mp3.com/Otis1
The new address is under the "Links" section. Sorry for
any confusion this causes.
10.09.2002
We're talking with CVP studios in Hollywood about putting one of
our songs on an independent film soundtrack. Check back soon for
more info!
10.01.2002
A couple more stations have added our songs to their mp3.com playlists.
Instead of linking all of them separately, there's now one main
link to all the sites under "Links." If you have time,
help support the stations by playing each setlist all the way through.
Thanks!

Hey everybody, just wanted to let you know that two stations have
added the song "Purple Sun" from the "Einstein"
CD to their regular playlists. The addresses to each site are in
the Links section; check them out if you get a chance.
9.26.2002
We broke 1,000 listens on our mp3.com website yesterday! Thanks
for listening to our music, everybody. We appreciate it a lot, and
keep it up!
9.20.2002
New pictures are up from our shows at Appalachian Bean and Heritage
State Park, as well as our practices before the shows.
9.17.2002
Clips from each song on "Einstein Simplified" are now
available in the music section of the website. The clips are short,
though, so make sure you pick up a copy of the CD soon.
9.10.2002
Sorry for the delay with the website updates. We finally finished
recording our first CD, called "Einstein Simplified" at
the end of August at Off The Beat-n-Track Studios. Producer Todd
Mack and recording engineer Will Curtiss did a great job with our
tunes; anybody in the area looking to record should give them a
call. Right now we're selling the CD for only five bones if anybody's
interested. You can email us at OtisBand@hotmail.com to ask for
a copy, or just buy one from one of us.
Until you get your own copy of the CD, you can listen to streaming
audio clips of the songs on our Cornerband.com site. Be sure to
give our songs a good rating, too!
Jon and Pete also recorded an acoustic CD this summer called "Songs
of Bass and Bird," which everyone should definately buy. Drop
them an email anytime.
The show scheduled for January 4 at MASS MoCA with the "Grooove"
organization is still on. We'll have ticket info up as soon as it's
available. We hope everybody had a great summer! Come back soon
to check for more pictures and song clips.
