The coxswain

back of coxswainThe coxswain is my favorite.

The coxwain's arms are tied to the steering balls, and when the coxswain steers too far to the left, the coxswain actually jumps up out of the boat. This is pretty awesome, and it is something that the rowers cannot do. On the other hand, the rowers can move their legs, whereas the coxswain cannot. The coxswain also has a cox box, eyes, a mouth, and a highly accurate microphone system.

The back of the coxswain's jacket says WILLIAMS COLLEGE, which is very small and took me four tries with a toothpick to get looking somewhat attractive. I think you will agree that it really does look somewhat attractive at this point. It is also the only thing that says Williams College on the entire boat; otherwise, it is inferred from the color scheme and from the fact that I made the boat.
