Located at the heart of downtown Decatur, Barnes Citizens Building is actually a combination of two buildings (5-story and 12-story) and a parking garage. It is the tallest building in Decatur. Originially built as the headquarters of the Citizens National Bank of Decatur, the building is now home to National City Bank and the offices of several attorneys.

Just across Water St, the newly-built DemirCo Place is a four-story retail and office complex. The DemirCo Group's corporate headquarters is located on the 3rd floor. The Daily Grind Coffee Company and Talbots clothing store are located on the ground floor. The building was designed by BLDD architects of Decatur.
