Founded
in 1901 by James Millikin, Millikin
is a liberal arts school with an enrollment of approximately 2300
students. Recent additions to its campus include a brand new science
building and an extensive addition to its School of Music. Kirkland
Fine Arts Center is one of the premier performance and exhibition
halls in Central Illinois. The University has recently collaborated
with the Decatur Park District
to build the Decatur Indoor Sports Center.
Millikin is ranked a "Top 10 Midwestern Liberal Arts College" by U.S.
News and World Report.
