on US 51 south (Main St.), The pre-WWI building which formerly housed
Quigle's furniture store (the owner retired in the mid-1990s) is seen
on the right. Located just beyond it are the historic, 1,400-seat
Lincoln Square Theater, which has played host to such performers as
Al Jolson, Bob Hope, and Harry Houdini, and the Decatur
Area Arts Council, an organization committed to encouraging and
promoting the use and visibility of the arts in the community. |
