Frank Lloyd Wright
was more than a prolific architect. He was someone who introduced a refined element of design to everything he touched.
This is both a visual and textual discussion of some of his selected works.
Among the many
structures that Wright designed in California are the Hollyhock and Ennis-Brown houses that overlook West LA. The concrete
block style that he devised for these projects was so far ahead of its time that the latter of these two buildings was chosen
as Harrison Ford's futuristic home in Blade Runner.
Both the written and
spoken word were gracefully molded into expressions of the character of Wright's works, and of the architect himself. These
few excerpts will make you laugh, think, and wonder all at once.
