This shot gives a nice overview of the cemetery. Notice the trees, the crosses, and the headstones. What connotations do the horizontal headstones have when compared to the British vertical headstones? Is it implausible to read a relationship to nature in the very orientation of the headstones? How does the tree-covered cemetery compare with the British cemeteries which are completely open to light from above?
This is a mass grave, with around 10,000 bodies, located at the front of the cemetery. Again, notice the uses of nature in the bushes that grow over the grave.
