Marathon 2, Net Carnage for both Mac and PC.

Some of you may claim that Quake may be the best game out there. Nope. Sure, its got pretty rendered graphics and cool lighting effects, but I'm afraid that pictures aren't everything. The rendered graphics tend to look like badly drawn polygons (which is what they are). The gameplay lacks, and it just doesn't have the cool features that Marathon has got.
Bitch all you want, but I will ignore you. If you want Quake, go have your fun. If you want to kick some butt, get Marathon.

The Basic Idea:

Basically, you're a one-man force against a slew of fairly smart aliens. Sound familiar? You kick alien butt for about 28 levels. But that's not the best part....

Net Play

What is way more fun is playing against other people on the network. You can pepper your friends with the assault rifle, Bar-B-Q them with the napalm dispenser, or go Rocket Sniping with the SPNKR Missile Launcher (my personal favorite). Click below for some screenshots from some of my net games.
