long rides

A list of bike rides longer than 50 miles that I've done:

October 18 - Santa Barbara Tour for MS - 103.12 miles, 6:20 pedaling, 7:30 total time.
My first century!! This was a beautiful ride that started out at the beach, went south along the coast before turning up into the mountains for a little while then returning to the coast. The weather was wonderful near the coast, but a little hot inland where the actual climbing was. Oh well. All in all an enjoyable ride and not nearly as difficult as I had expected.

January 19 - Glendora Mtn. Rd. to San Gabrial Canyon- 62 miles, 4:09 pedaling time.
Glendora Mountain Road is a beautiful, beautiful climb. The road was gated off so there were no cars to bother us while we climbed. I highly reccomend it. It was a little chilly and my toes were a bit cold by the time we got to the top. Ah well, they're warm now.
