Oh, and by the way, you don't need to tell me that I get even redder when I wrestle... it's been said plenty of times.

Team Stats: 2nd in team points, wins, and takedowns; 1st in concussions
Honors: North Jersey Parochial B Champions, Honorable Mention All-Conference, 4th place District 18
Injuries: Concussion - inflicted by teammate in practice

Cedar Grove (Win, pin 4:43)

Flat - A really bad match where i was bumped up to 215 (ugh) and I wrestled like crap. 

 

1998-1999  Weight Class: 171  Record: 20-6 (10-0, regular season at 171)
Team Stats: Team MVP, 1st in pins, wins, team points, 2nd in takedowns
Honors: 1st Team All-Conference, 2nd Team All-County, Honorable Mention All-Area, Regional Qualifier
Tournaments: 3rd place Hillsborough Invitational, 3rd place District 18, 4th place Somerset County Tournament
Injuries: 3 cracked and bruised ribs, 3 bruised ribs, punched in the head during the first round of Districts
 
Chatham - a 3-0 win for me... I hate wrestling tall lanky kids, especially when they punch you in the nuts
Tie-up - didn't quite take advantage of this
Balance - good balance is crucial
Standup - his hands were locked from the second I started to stand... Of course, the ref didn't notice
Stalemate - the most frustrating position in wrestling, next to being on your back
Positioning - trying to get around behind
Near Ankle - progress
Near Ankle2 - almost there
No Breakdown - I'm in horrible position here
Stay Behind - trying to keep good positioning
Punched in the Nuts - as you can tell by the expression on my face, this hurt. a lot.
Turn2Back - so close...

 

Delbarton - A 4:11 pin win for me.  I was down 4-1 to a kid I was better than, so I hit a switch right off the 3rd period whistle.
Doubleleg - going for the takedown
Legs - he can run out of bounds... but he can't hide
Last Laugh - Got him with the switch right off the whistle... I love the expression on his face

 

Middlesex - The only regular season match I lost, a 3-2 loss at the 189 weight class.
Needless to say, I wrestled like shit, and was not pleased with my performance
BadRide - I'm on my knees, which is why I had trouble breaking him down
MSmatch - A picture from the Pingry Record's Wrestling Team article. And no, I wasn't feeling agony.
Cedar Grove - a 5-0 Win for me at 189.  I wrestled really well, but couldn't quite get him over...
