On the road

Finals were over as of Sunday, and after spending the following day packing, I left for New York City on Tuesday afternoon. On Friday, I will be leaving NYC for Israel, where I will be visiting my family in Nahariyya for a month. I am still not sure whether I will have access to a computer while I'm there, so blogging will be, at best, irregular until I get back to Miami in the beginning of July.

The idiot speaks again

Supreme idiotarian Arundhati Roy, who has published several anti-everything-that-America-stands-for articles in Al-Guardian since 9/11, has now apparently written an article in Outlook magazine calling democracy "the Free World's whore," whatever the fuck that's supposed to mean. Once I get my hands on this perpetually-PMSing windbag's latest pile of anti-American llama excrement, I will be sure to give it the same treatment that I gave her previous article.

How much will this cost us?

Sharon meets with Abu Mazen. "Good will measures" are implemented on Israel's part, such as allowing 250,000 potential walking bombs inside the Green Line. Per the terrorist policy of stepping up their murderous efforts whenever any sort of diplomacy takes place, five suicide attacks, which kill 14 people and maim over 73, are carried out in 48 hours.

Over the weekend, Arafat, in another one of his maniacal rants, states that Abu Mazen, that messenger of peace who was supposed to reform the PA and bring a new era of love to the Middle East, is nothing but a a pawn under his control. Even though the terrorist attacks were carried out by members of Fatah and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, the PA blames Sharon (surprise!) for the carnage because he insisted on focusing on security issues (the nerve!) instead of accepting the road map in full (how dare he!). The aforementioned pawn condemns the bombings because they hurt the "Palestinian cause" and Javier Solana of the EU asks the United States to put more pressure on Israel to accept the road map, and—of course—make more concessions to Arafat's gang of murdering savages.

Nevertheless, we are told, we must stick to the the "Road Map," we must not falter in our course towards "peace". Even on the right, just in the past few weeks, numerous theories have been written about how this "Road Map" is just Bush's way of proving that the "Palestinians" are not committed to peace, how it will benefit Israel in the long run, and how it's just another piece in the puzzle of the War on Terror, a puzzle which seems to include Powell courting Syria with sweet words while Iran and Saudi Arabia help Assad beef up his forces. But, rest assured: it's all part of a grand scheme, an American master plan to wipe out terror once and for all.

Meanwhile, Israelis are seeing this master plan unfold right before their eyes—on their buses, in their malls, with flying nails and cries of "Allahu akbar!" And as they are urged to pursue peace at full speed, no one seems to remember that before this "Road Map," we've had "Oslo," we've had "Taba," we've had "Tenet." All of which were written with the blood of Israeli Jews.

And so begins another Middle Eastern peace initiative.

I'll show you a police state

So after accidentally sleeping through all my classes on the last day of the semester, I decided to go down to the main student center, which houses a cafe, a dining hall, and the mailroom to get some lunch and check my mail. Due to the high amount of traffic through the building, most student organizations choose to promote themselves in the mailroom by having a couple of members sit behind tables and try to attract the attention of students who simply want their mail.

As I was walking by the usual assortment of a capella, community service, and other groups, I noticed a large posterboard, with a dirty hippie behind it, complaining about the detentions of immigrants by the U.S. government and the "post-911 police state". I decided stop and talk to her.

Turns out that this hippie was born in the Chicago gulag, and has never known any freedoms all her life, or at least since 9-11. She was complaining about detentions of immigrants from a number of countries, most of which, curiously, were Middle Eastern. She made sure to use the phrase "Bush administration" often, which signalled a particular kind of idiotarianism: baseless Bush-hatred.

I told her something along these lines, albeit more politely: Listen you stupid bitch. I'm from the Soviet Union and I know what a real police state is. It's quite nice that you're able to stand here and bash our country and our president without having the big bad police forces come and drag you off to an Alaskan concentration camp. I know that life in Chicago is fucking intolerable, but if you can't stand living in this country so much, why don't you leave and go to one of your commie paradises? You want to know what a real police state is? A real police state is when your great-grandfather gets sent off to Siberia for publishing a newspaper that is not fully in line with the desires of the new government. A real police state is when you're forced to obtain banned books via underground networks and constantly look over your shoulder. A real police state is where any criticism of the government, in any medium, is suppressed. I came to this country to live without worrying about oppression and anti-Semitism and you are now trying to undermine the government that is trying to protect us from those who want to destroy our way of life. Go move to Communist China, hippie, and leave those of us who appreciate this country alone. Fuck you.

They're ready for peace

Israel has kept the Temple Mount closed to Jews since the beginning of the intifada, but we are supposed to enter a new era of peace and acceptance via the road map, Israel's Public Security Minister Hanegbi decided that it was about time to open access the the holiest site in Judaism to the Jews.

Except the peace-loving Arab Muslims disagree:

Saeb Erekat, the Minister for Palestinian Negotiation Affairs, said that the decision "constitutes a dangerous aggravation and is totally rejected". Erekat invited the international community to intervene immediately "in order to stop Israel's sought decisions that have detrimental consequences".

In an interview with al-Jazeera TV, Sheikh Akrama Sabri, Mufti of the Holy Land and Preacher of Al Aqsa Mosque, said that the decision is a "desecration of Muslim holy sites and will have serious implications."

Oh no! The Arabs are again threatening to throw a collective hissy fit and we should all tremble in fear! God forbid they show some signs of tolerance and open Jerusalem's holiest site to all religions! Israel should be commended for even putting up with the whining of these Wakf bastards who have no respect for anything that is not in the Dar-al-Islam.

But what does Israel get? Nothing. Only criticism. MOreover, no one gives a damn about Muslim/Arab hate-filled policies towards other religions. Where was the uproar when the Arabs took over the Tomb of Joseph, burned the Jewish texts in there, painted it green and turned into a mosque? And where is the intervention of the international community in response to the Wakf's illegal construction under the Temple Mount that caused a bulge in the southern wall which threatened its integrity? And then, when Israel decided to repair it, the Muslims threatened violence again, so Israel capitulated and had to get a team from Jordan to do the job. Anything to not offend those poor oppressed Muslims, whose feelings are about a thousand times more sensitive than those of any other group on this planet.

In a speech before the Knesset on Wednesday, Hanegbi said: "the site will be open regardless of whether an agreement is reached with the Muslim Waqf".

Finally, someone showing signs of backbone.

Can you please die already?

It's Nakba day and our favorite terrorist has some poignant words intended to hasten reconciliation and promote the peace:

Israel was established with the force of weapons and as result of a huge Zionist colonialist conspiracy on the rubbles of our homeland, Palestine.

Hmm, Israel was intended to be established by the force of peaceful farming until Arab gangs started attacking the Jewish immigrants who bought the land from Arab landlords. I guess Arafuck would've preferred that they fought back with shovels.

We have clearly announced our strategic choice of peace to obtain an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, but there is a conspiracy against us.

Strategic choice of peace? What the fuck does that mean? Oh I know! Strategic peace, like Mohammed's agreement with the Quraysh, where he made a "peace" treaty with a militarily superior tribe and broke it as soon as he amassed enough forces to conquer them. Go fuck a camel, Yasser. Anyone with a brain can see that your "peace" is nothing more than the implementation of the PLO's Phased Plan.

No peace is possible without a complete Israel withdrawal from the Palestinian and Arab lands occupied on June 4, 1967 and the removal of all settlements. The settlers must go away from our lands. We support a just and comprehensive peace, a peace of the brave, in return for a full withdrawal from our Palestinian and Arab lands.

I thought that your "Palestinian and Arab lands" were the ones that Israel was eastablished on in '47, not 1967? I've got a better proposal for a just peace: after I arrive in Israel this summer, I'll drive down to what's left of the Muqata, and put a bullet through your head! How would you like that, Arafuck?

Sharon is the man

I am drinking a beer (well, three beers) in honor of Sharon tonight 'cause he is the man. Even though it sometimes seems that he is caving to pressure to make concessions, statements like this keep me from losing faith in him:Ariel Sharon

Prime Minister Sharon has officially rejected the American demand for a total freeze on construction activity in Yesha (Judea, Samaria and Gaza). It was learned today that Sharon told U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell yesterday that he would not prevent young people who were born in the towns from building their homes there. "I don't call them settlements, but rather communities," Sharon said, adding, "We also won't force young mothers to have abortions."

Powell told Israel's Channel Two last night that President Bush "expects to speak to [Prime Minister Sharon] in very open, straightforward, honest, candid terms about settlement activity and settlements in general when he sees Prime Minister Sharon next week." Sharon, however, rebuffed the veiled threat, telling Ynet today that his relationship with Bush is not one where Bush "makes demands." (Arutz Sheva)

Sharon, with his willingness to negotiate and refusal to compromise on issues that truly matter is exactly the kind of leader that Israel needs to see it through this crisis. And yet, he gets bashed from the left and the right, never receiving any respect for his able navigation of the narrow paths between combat and negotiation, between self-defense and foreign relations, between the Jewish love for life and the necessity to send soldiers into close-quarters combat. He has made tough decisions, both for war and for peace, always trying do what would benefit his country most, but never getting any respect as a result. I think Victor Davis Hanson says it best:

Yet the truth we dare not speak is that had not Mr. Sharon acted, we would have seen another dozen or so suicide bombings by now, hundreds of more blown-up Jews, the increasingly frightening reality that Israel would not or could not act?and a corrupt international community's sigh about butchered Israelis that "perhaps it had to come to this." Due to Mr. Sharon's resolve, his absolute disdain for the amoral posturing of European statesmen (who really do have the blood of Bosnians and Kosovars on their hands), his unconcern with the venom of the Arab world, and the irritation of the United States, Israel is more, not less safe?and peace for all concerned is more, not less, likely.

Now in his mid-70s Sharon will be lucky to get six months of retirement back on his farm for his trouble. When he goes, Americans will sigh relief. Most Israelis will learn that peacemaking will come easier for his absence. The Europeans in time will be wily enough to say, "Sharon did it, not the Israelis." And so in his lifetime, Mr. Sharon will get no credit and much blame. At home most of his rivals who follow him to craft a peace will soon conclude that "Sharon was right, but his methods were not nuanced"; the best he can hope for abroad is something like "Well, the Palestinians asked for Sharon, when they started murdering women and children."

The man really doesn't get any credit for what he does. Mr. Sharon, I hope that someday I will have the honor of meeting you and will be able to thank you personally for your lifelong dedication to the state of Israel, to its security, and to the safety of my family and of all the Jews who live in the Land.

Want to get a little more pissed off?

One of the most frustrating weblogs to read is Tongue Tied, but not for the reasons that one would think. Tongue Tied, which I read daily, is a compilation of occurences where free speech and common sense have been sacrificed to the political-correctness-thought-lobotomization ideology.

It's good to be aware of what the PC-police degenerates are doing to this country, but the sheer amount and frequency of posts on that blog is frightening.

The AGM-704

The next time we have hippie demonstrations in our major cities, we should not allow them to bring traffic to a halt and chase people away with their vile stench. Therefore, I am going to invent the AGM-704 Hippie-stench-seeking missile. It will home in onto the unmistakable hippie stench, neutralize it, and send the hippies running. Then normal citizens will be able to go about their business as usual.

Click below to see the missile in action.

Hippies are a waste of carbon

(Via LGF:) Jonathan Foreman in the New York Post exposes the real agenda of these NGOs who pretend to want to help the Iraqi people. They don't give a shit about the Iraqi people. All they want to do is to prove how eeeeeeeevil the coalition soldiers are.

Army officers stand all along the walls. Compared to the aid workers (with their new clothes and expensive haircuts), they look dirty and tired.

The soldiers must doff their rifles and sidearms before they enter the area because the NGO folk - who depend on these men and women for their protection - object to the presence of firearms.

I cannot accept the fact that the military acquiesces to the demands of these whiny pussy hippies. Our men, who risked their lives first to liberate the country and now to patrol the streets, have to remove their weapons because some whiny middle-class bitches can't bear to see a gun! What do you think is protecting you? Your aura of self-satisfaction?

But when people actually need help, it's nowhere to be found:

Then an armor major stands up, says that there's a young girl in his area with a brain tumor, and asks: "Are there any NGOs out there who can arrange specialized treatment for her?" The answer is silence.

The same thing happens when Capt. Cory Davis of the 2nd Armored Cavalry requests NGO help in resettling 400 families who've installed themselves in government buildings that will soon be taken back by the relevant ministries.

"Look at Saddam City," a senior officer liaising with ORHA said to The Post, referring to the city's biggest Shiite slum, "There's 2 million people living in that little spot. It's so poor it reminds me of Haiti. That's where the NGOs could make a huge difference. But you know who's the only people coming in to help? The Iranians."

Wow, when it actually comes down to getting outside of the comfy offices and doing what they supposedly came down to Iraq to do—helping the Iraqi people—the NGO people want someone else to do the job! Oh, I know why! It's because they're afraid of getting shot:

Many other complaints follow the lines of: "I was over there yesterday. You said it was safe but I heard a shot."

Waaah waah waah! You heard a shot! Looks like you need the soldier with his big bad rifle to protect your ass. Yeah, let him risk his life just so you can bitch about it later.

The coalition needs to implement Israel's policy of kicking out whiny NGO idiots who do nothing useful but get in the way of our men doing their job. Call it the "waste of carbon" clause: anyone who does nothing but sit on his ass and whine all day while purporting to do something beneficial is hereby a waste of carbon and will be deported to the People's Republic of Berkeley.

Priorities

A great column by Daniel Pipes in the Jerusalem Post delineating America's priorities in the War on Terror: Confusing the byproduct with the goal.

Each state's obligations, in other words, are ultimately to its own citizens.

This is in no way to argue against providing benefits to Afghanistan and Iraq; but it is to say that these are not a moral obligation. Nor should wars be launched for humanitarian reasons alone. Should democratic leaders forget this iron law and decide to launch purely philanthropic efforts, the results will be unpleasant.

Our security comes first; state-bulding, second.

Vroom

So now we have this "Road Map" that Powell seems intent on shoving down Sharon's throat. He's in Israel now, talking to Abu "There was no Holocaust" Mazen and Ariel Sharon. To get the whole process started, Powell inisists that Israel takes concrete steps to prove to the nice Fatah people that we really want peace.

Despite the fact that the lifting of the curfew resulted in the shooting of Zion David near Ofra today, despite the continued firing of Kassam rockets on Sderot, and despite the absolute refusal of the PA to control its gangs of terrorist savages, Colin Powell made Israel implement "goodwill gestures" such as releasing several hundred prisoners and allowing Arabs from Yesha to enter Israel to work. Meanwhile Powell will "ask the Palestinians to further the effort by cracking down on terrorism against Israelis." Pretty-pretty-pretty please with a cherry on top?

Once again, Israel is forced to compromise its security by letting in 25,000 potential walking bombs while the all that is expected of the PA is the promise to do something which they have already explicitly refused to do.

They want independence? Well, let's start with economic independence first. If they want Yesha to be Judenrein then we should make Israel free of "Palestinians". That would also involve sending the the 250,000 or so of them who are living inside the Green Line back to Ram'allah. If you don't want Jews in your state, then get jobs in Jordan. Israel can do without your shoddy construction skills.

Deserving the award

I just remebered, thanks to my previous post, that I have a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize that will truly restore legitimacy to the award. This upstanding individual has truly been working for peace, every day, under the blazing Middle Eastern sun. Despite encounters with those who would do anything possible to prevent him from doing his job, and slander from those who want to defame his name, this fine citizen has remained steadfast in his pursuit of peace for his people.

Presenting:

The Caterpillar D-10 Bulldozer!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is a true supporter of peace. Join me in promoting his nomination.

Turncoat Jews

Via LGF: Israel has raided the offices of the Idiotarian Solidarity Movement and arrested two terrorist-supporting bastard camelfucker hippies. Israel is finally beginning to crack down on these assholes; they will now also require these failed abortions to sign a waiver absolving Israel of all responsibility for their safety. You know what that means? Field day for the bulldozers! Yee-ha!

However, one particular quote from the article got me really pissed off.

One ISM member, Raphael Cohen, told reporters recently that the two British suicide bombers who detonated a bomb at Mike's Place in Tel Aviv had visited the ISM apartment in Gaza before setting off to blow themselves up. [emphasis mine].

Raphael-fucking-Cohen. You bastard turncoat Jew. It is your kind that helped the Nazis send your brethren to concentration camps and it is you who are protecting Jew-killers today. I hope you, Adam Shapiro, Stanley Cohen, and the rest of your ilk get camel syphilis, die in excruciating pain, and go to hell where you will be perpetually run over by bulldozers with spikes for treads as punishment for crimes against your people. Fuck you.

Missing the target

I designed this website to be compliant with the XHTML 1.1 DTD, and, along the way, realized just how many common HTML tags were now deprecated. This never presented a problem, since the functions of those tags were now taken over by similar tags in the stylesheet, resulting in clean, streamlined code. However, the good old <a target="xyz"> tag disappeared without having been replaced by a corresponding CSS attribute.

The tag, originally intended for framesets, enabled a link target to appear in a frame other than the one where the the link itself was located. Furthermore, it was possible to use four special values in conjunction with the tag, of which the most widely used one was "_blank," which opened the link target in a new window.

That very value, I learned, was the main reason that the target tag was deprecated, for it is supposedly considered bad style to open a new window without the user's consent. I myself consider it very convenient to have my links automatically open in new windows when I am reading weblogs, as there is often a multitude of links in weblog articles and returning using the back arrow or history is much more of a pain in the ass than simply closing the new window. But my preferences notwithstanding, there is simply a logical flaw in deprecating the tag.

Unrequested pop-ups, like the ones that appear upon entering or exiting a huge number of sites, are such an incredible annoyance that I would personally hand over whoever first came up with the idea to Uday Hussein. But those popups are created with simple JavaScript functions, not target="_blank". Ironically, the JavaScript functions remain completely valid, while the target tag, despite the fact has it many other functions and is essential for those who still use frameset-based websites, is gone.

Thus, I cannot see any plausible reason for deprecating the tag. If anyone could explain this to me, I would much appreciate it.

Oh, and yes, I'm aware that the tag is still valid for XHTML 1.0 Transitional. That's beside the point. It needs to be valid in future versions of XHTML as well.

A report on the state of the Hippies

Even though we have won the war in Iraq and none of the horrible predictions made by the far-left ever materialized (much to their disappointment), the hippies on campus refuse to accept the fact that the war is long over. THE WAR™ is now responsible for everything that is wrong in the world—including dead baby seals, which is probably what one would hear at the upcoming discussion (with presentations by four faculty members) entitled "Beyond Bombs: The Environmental Impact of War."

Oh silly hippies. When will they learn that protesting a fait accompli only further proves their irrelevance?

Some of them have actually begun to see the chalkings on the ivory tower. The campus anti-war group, for example, has been struggling to comprehend the notion that no one really gave, nor will ever give a damn about what they think. Unfortunately (obviously?), they didn't go as far as to disband their little band of idiots. Instead, they just redefined it! By official definition, this hippie club

…is a peace activism group (comprised of students, faculty, and staff) that seeks to promote education and awareness on campus regarding the current U.S/Iraq situation. Through lectures, debates, petitions, poster campaigns, and travel to organized protests we hope to increase dialogue among the student body regarding War in Iraq and spread the reasons for which we oppose this War.

Furthermore, according to the founder, the group's "only focus is the situation concerning Iraq and the rest of the world…especially the United States." Yet at a recent meeting, they decided that they

…will continue as an activist group, but will want to act on an issue of importance and immediacy in current times. Thus our exact future is uncertain, but we will continue to work on bringing world issues to the front of the [college] consciousness, and to find other ways to effect world change.

Guys, you might really want to rethink your name if you choose to hang around to piss us off. I mean, seriously, don't you feel incredibly stupid calling yourselves the anti-war blah blah blah now that the war is over? 'Cause it does look pretty damn stupid.

At least there will be a source of entertainment and fisking material for years to come.

Schadenfreude

According to the Varnam blog, that Indian idiotarian, the Robert Fisk of the East, Arundhati Roy, (whom I so awesomely vanquished in my fisking), has been kicked out of her bungalow.

Why? Because the self-appointed Protector of All Oppressed Peoples decided to build her little loveshack on protected forest land, violating not only the Code of the Treehugging Hippies, but, much more importantly, Indian law. Now poor Roy can't use her house anymore. Take that, bitch.

Independence Day

The "Jewish Religious Center" on our campus is a joke; we do not even have a Hillel branch. We do, however, have a rabbi, whom I like as a person, but whose sermon on Rosh Hashana included a call to "debunk the myths of Israel's founding" and a call for "Palestinian" statehood. The fact that officially, the JRC is supposed to be an apolitical organization so as not to offend whiny hippies did not prevent her from making this insulting, anti-Zionist rant. I never went to services since, because I do not like sitting through half-English, half-Hebrew prayers from politically-correct siddurim just to be insulted in the end. Besides, if you're gonna pray, then do it the way it was intended: say the whole thing, in Hebrew, and without using gender-neutral pronouns.

Every Yom Ha'atzmaut, the JRC holds a barbeque to commemorate the holiday. However, even this celebration is not free from absurdity. Last year, I was surprised to find out that there was no Israeli flag present at the event. Why? Because, I was told, some people find the flag offensive, and we really wouldn't want any Jew-hater's feelings to be hurt. Of course, these gentle Jews were too imbecilic to realize that the assholes who would be offended by the Israeli flag would also be offended by the existence of Israel and by the holiday that we were celebrating. But then again, "logic" is a concept quite foreign to lefties.

This year, I brought my own Israeli flag and hung it up. However, the flag did not cause as much controversy as my nargilah, a part of Israeli culture which I very much enjoy smoking. I soon found my rights being trampled by these Jews who would rather give Ahmed Yassin a sponge bath than come within 100 feet of a puff of smoke. Needless to say, I smoked anyway, but it looked like a scene out of "Tolerance Camp."

So fuck you, you dirty liberal hippie Jews. Your ignorance and hypocrisy know no bounds. You say you embrace multiculturalism and yet you have not even the faintest idea about foreign customs (for the umpteenth time, a hookah is not a bong, although if it were, you probably wouldn't have minded me smoking it.) You are tolerant of terrorism and abuse of women because that is "their tradition," but you have no consideration for the rights of anyone who does not subscribe to your ideologies. Fuck you all; I'm smoking my hookah whereever I want, and you can all go collectively blow a camel.

Oh, one more thing. A friend who attends a university in the Midwest has just told me that their celebrations included free food and a nargilah, all sponsored by their Jewish association. So here goes out another "fuck you," this time to small liberal-arts colleges in New England, where no sane person should ever consider going.

Pleased to meet you

Welcome to Drunk Russian. Here you will find militant Zionism, American patriotism, frustration with academia, a vile hatred of the far left, and a hippie bulldozer factory. Sit down, smoke the nargilah, sip some Armenian brandy, and enjoy.

Feel free to share your thoughts with me. If, however, you're a dirty hippie, and your feelings are hurt, remember—you're irrelevant and no one cares what you think. Just shut up and go away.

Otherwise, I'll send a couple of bulldozers after you.
