words are another dimension of silence

"I had never; I thought I should."
Words to live by. (Thank you Peter Mulvey.)

Web pages are an interesting medium. It's an opportunity to tell complete strangers about yourself, as well as to reveal yourself in a different aspect, if you so desire, to those who know you. This is my second version -- the first became too unweildy, so I'm making an attempt to... organize. The problem, of course, in this attempt, is that my mind isn't particularly organized, so it may not happen. We shall see...

I'll begin with the requisite basics. Family, school, all that fun stuff.

Since I don't have all that much fancy stuff to say about my resume, I'll just point you in that direction right away for whomever may be interested.

So, now that you have a sense of that sort of thing...
They say you can tell a lot about a person by the company s/he keeps. I tend to think that's apt, though not, of course, a hard and fast rule. Anyway, here's some of the company I keep. Also check out Mosaic Commons, the cohousing group with which I'm involved.

I also spend a lot of time in my own head, which tends to result in a large quantity of largely complicated and confused thoughts and musings and other random stuff. Have at them. :)

On a related note, I have the occasional political leaning.

I have an interesting relationship with words. Language, to me, is magical. I love what we can do with words, and what language can do to/for us.

I have the occassional rant.

I've recently started hand drumming. As with anything, I have lots to say about it!

Last, but not least, I can't really bear to just erase my original page, entirely, even though it's closing form is a far cry from it's beginning stages. A lot of the content is the same as you'll find here, but if you'd like to look at the original, as they say, please do. At the very least, it may help you to realize that this really is an improvement. (Some links from embedded pages may bring you back to this page -- use the back button on your browser liberally.)

Oh, yeah, one last thing:
Email is good.
