Kristin Doughty has finally written
herself the beginnings of a home page. She's a dear, dear friend and
fellow religion major who makes life richer, fuller and all-around more
wonderful.
Josh Mankoff, who you'll recognize from some of
my photos (or will if you know him), is the person you can blame for this
page, as he introduced me to HTML and badgered me into getting my account
from WSO until I finally gave in.
Yeah, I'm a sucker, but he's pretty insistent, too!
[Side note: As of June, 2001, Kristin and Josh are (finally ;)
engaged to be married! I'm thrilled
for them.]
Scott Case has been the lucky recipient of serveral
middle-of-the-night crisis phone calls from me, much to my great fortune.
He is also organized to an intimidating degree, though you wouldn't know
it from visiting his room most days. He is simply one of the very coolest
people I know and is another person you can blame for this page.
Aileen Kawabe, my roommate
and a wacky, wonderful kind of woman.
Catherine "say that name three times fast"
Riihimaki is just too cool. (Is that possible? Well, if it
were possible to be "too cool", she would be! ;-) A math (gasp)
and geology major, now a grad student in Geology at UC Santa Cruz, Cath's
one of my favorite people in da whole wide world.
mew is
not only a really wonderful person, she also has one of the best personal
web pages I've run across.
Dave Belfer-Shevett, a
dear friend and love.
Catya Belfer-Shevett is a
growing friend, and also has some excellent resources on her page,
particularly regarding polystuff and parenting. I play a lot with her and
Dave's son Zach
and really enjoy the time I spend with him.
Lee Sonko is a neat and interesting person
who I've been lucky enough to run into and get to know at several social
occassions.
Seth Battis, Director of
WOOLF '97, Computer Science and Studio Art double-major, and dangerously
tidy man, has been a friend since early my first year at Williams. He
really has to be known to be believed, and if there's anyone I know who
really has the potential to take over the world, it's he.

Misc
First, a picture of me,
one of some of my bestest friends,
me and my cute little dog at home in Wyoming,
and my oldest (longest term, that is) friend, and me,
at her wedding.
You may have read about the dramatic fires in Jackson Hole this
summer. My parents had a great view from their yard. This is a
picture of my brother learning to unicycle on
the road with the fires in the background.
Me and my sweetie, Steph
Another of me and Steph, plus
Rachel (beware, this is a big image)
Sarah brought a very cool bubblemaker, and I had a lot of fun with it!
Here's one picture and
here's another.
Scott took some pictures, too -- these are bigger and may be slow to
load:
Me and a looong bubble,
another looong bubble, and
a plum tomato-shaped bubble in the
sky.
I took the time a few years back to figure out how to use a scanner so I
could put some photos up here. No, I don't have a digital camera, and I
don't plan to anytime soon. There's something very satisfying about
holding a picture in my hand, or, even better, sticking it in my photo
album, a project that has helped me maintain my sanity through many
stressy times.
