* An ability to use humor to point out possible flaws or contradictions in almost
any position or theory. As Editor for the Mad Cow (Williams' humor magazine) and as
a columnist for the Providence Journal and the Williams Record, have analyzed
various situations and made light of the logical problems that arise.
* The ability to make anything rhyme. Have given extemporaneous rhyming floor
speeches at public debates in response to speakers including Pat Buchanan and Michael
Dukakis on such varied issues as gun control and trade with China.
* A firm commitment to deadlines. Wrote a weekly column for three years in the
Providence Journal, always turned it in early. Regardless of the pressures and
responsibilities of college life, maintained a tight schedule.
