Dively Committee for Human Sexuality and Diversity
Interested in LGBTQ programming and Queer Life at Williams?
The Dively Committee for Human Sexuality and Diversity is looking for new members! Join a dedicated group of individuals committed to exploring issues of sexual diversity in ways that improve the quality of life at Williams. Founded in 1991 with a generous gift from Mike Dively ‘61, the Dively Committee is a formal, standing committee of the College comprised of students, staff, and faculty. The committee plans and funds events on campus that focus on gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ identities and practices, and works collectively on issues around sexuality that affect the entire Williams community. For twenty-five years, the committee has funded and organized visits by feminist artists, bisexual activists, lesbian writers, gay athletes, transgender performers, queer filmmakers, and a broad range of other events that focus on gender, sexuality, and LGBTQ people at Williams.
This year the committee will again meet roughly once every two weeks. If you are interested in joining us, please email Professor Brian Martin (email@example.com) by 10AM on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 30th with a short expression of interest. Your email should have "Dively Application" in the title, and should include your name, class or position, and contact details, along with a statement (a paragraph or so) that focuses on your background, interests, pertinent experience, and what you hope to bring to the work of the committee.
