Campus job: web publishing assistantsPosted Tuesday February 6 by Michael Burdick
The college's web development team is accepting applications for Wordpress Support Assistants. The web team is responsible for building and maintaining the web presence for the college's academic departments and administrative offices, including the college's homepage. We seek students for morning and afternoon shifts to assist with the general operations of the department.
Qualifications: Applicants should have above-average computer skills, be detail-oriented, and have some experience working with content management systems (WordPress preferred). Programming experience not necessary, but would be a plus. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in immersing themselves in the web publishing world.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing WordPress support and training to faculty, staff and students.
- Helping to move department sites into the college's new template.
- Assisting with the production of online college magazines
Join the team helping to build an important facet of Williams' public image. We hope to benefit from a student's perspective, and would be happy to challenge and mentor someone interested in learning about web publishing and internet technologies.
