Hour 1, Fictional Schools--largely written by Steve and Lynette Yorgey Winslow--seemed to get a good distribution of scores, and I don't believe any questions fully stumped everyone. A couple retrospective comments regarding the answer key. First, I did make two blunders--seeking a couple of low-stress questions, I threw on Tim Taylor from Home Improvement, confident he had UMich affiliation: that seems to have been a false memory, though, as it seems he was, if anything, supposed to have gone to Western Mich; similarly, I seem to have conflated Bill & Ted's "San Dimas High School football rules!" with the parody version in Billy Madison, so the answer key should read Nibb High School. I could go back and try to correct scores, but it doesn't seem worth the effort. Many people also put Princeton as the inspiration for The Human Stain; that seems justifiable in retrospect, but the movie was filmed at Williams, and this is a Williams contest, so we're having none of it. A common wrong answer was Hairspray instead of Grease--Hairspray's dance contest is local rather than national, so it's not really modeled on American Bandstand.
