Noah Bain, played by Malachi Throne, on the TV show "It Takes a Thief," starring Robert Wagner, who played Alexander Mundy, a cat burglar. The government offered to get him out of prison if he would work for them, hence the line that appeared in each week's show intro. In a number of episodes (in the later part of the series' run, I believe) Mundy was helped by his father (also a former thief?), played by none other than Fred Astaire! Obviously, between Astaire and Wagner, the show had a lot of class!
