During construction of the Chapin addition and the Buck Rogers auditorium, Lehman was encircled by chainlink fence and much equipment manufactured by the Drott company. "Drott" had burned its way into various players' frontal lobes by the time team-naming time came. However, a faction of the team preferred a musical identity. Team member Dan Adkinson was a huge fan of the band Circus Maximus (perhaps best known for "The Wind"), and a happy melding of references occurred.
