20 dialogue clips from movies, each one being the very first words spoken in a film. Teams were expected to name the film, provide the LAST line spoken in the same film, and also give the character who said both lines of dialogue.
Scores were depressed a bit by the 80 pieces of information sought, and because judge Levine was, in his own words, "a hard-ass." He doesn't think anyone got an 8 or above on ANY of his three boni during Genitals. This was perhaps due in part to his particular scoring system, which he has explained here. Jared's self-described formula was as follows:
"Each of the items per question was assigned a value of 1-4 points. The things in my opinion that should have been gotten without a second's hesitation by anyone with a pulse valued a 1. And then ranged up from there to the really tough shit being rated a 4.
Then, on that scale (I don't remember what the max. was, or the individual scorings) I broke that up into ranges of what totals (rather hard-and-fast) would align themselves with the scale of 1-10. There was an immensely small window of scores that would enable a 10. I think you could only miss a total of 10 or 15 "points" to get it. Maybe. And a barely larger window for each of 9 and 8, I think.
Not really convoluted, just mean, as I recall it."
The audio bonus scores illustrate how nearly to Levine's standards the 5/92 trivial community was able to quest:
1 point-- Manhattan Skyliners; Smells Like Yo Mama; Telescopes;
2 points-- 8 Foot of Watusi; Unadulterated Mayhem; Team Broxta;
3 points-- Phasers: TNG; Barnyard.
4 points--
5 points--
6-10 points-- >>cue sound of crickets chirping....<<
