Congratulations to Abe Froman, the Sausage King of Chicago. Along with winning the contest, they got the top score in individual four contest elements: sharing a three-way tie on the Audio Hour Bonus, topping two of the Action Trivia, and by solving the Ultra Bonus on the first set of clues for a whopping 30 points, the single-highest point clump of the game.
Abe Froman won the 104th Williams Trivia contest by just three points over Dream Warriors. Abe outscored the Warriors by 8 in the Ultra Bonus, by 7 in on-air points, and by 6 in the Action Trivia. Dream Warriors only tackled two Action Trivia, but remained close to Abe by scoring a record 10 points on one of them (NBA trick shot). The Warriors outscored Abe by 18 across the ten bonuses.
Encyclopedia Brown: Special Victims Unit had the highest score in answering the on-air questions and songs, missing just 3 points in eight hours.
Six Contests None the Winner were the big bonus bullies, standing alone at the top in four of the eight Hour Boni (Games; Geography; Fear; and Landmarks), while tying for first in Things That Fly, finishing just 1 point behind on the audio, and narrowly missing top scores in both Super Bonuses by a combined 5 points. They were just 12 points away from getting the top score on all ten bonuses.
Occam's Toothbrush of Destiny and Blue Comet each decided that if you're going to win one contest element, why not make it a Super Bonus? Occam's Toothbrush topped the first Super (Fandom) by a point, and Blue Comet racked up the best score on the second Super (Brand Names), also by 1 point.
Two teams had the largest bonus-winning margins, both with 3 point leads: Dream Warriors in winning the Novels and Novelty bonus, and Holy Cow with the Stargazing bonus.
RM1.50 got the high score in four Action Trivia, including the first one where they were the only team to participate. There were only twenty Action Trivia performances in total, and 13 of those were from either RM1.50 (7) or Abe Froman (6). The other teams to register a top Action score were [citation needed], who did it twice, and Area 52. Area 52 also tied for the top audio bonus score with Froman and DOA Hole.
Three teams made the top ten without getting a top score on any individual element: Collective Foole; Jack is da Bomb; and Sad Boiz.
And because it would be a sin to make no mention of the best team name of the night, An Overwhelming Surplus of Diggity, they came in second on two bonuses: Games, and the Movie-TV audio.
