The first win for the "Tupperware" team, a squad that looks to be dominant for some time to come. (Their second win would be as Gentle Tongue-Tongue, 3 contests later.) The 46-point margin is pretty indicative of their systematic success. Unless I'm mistaken about Purpose of the Military (5/93), Elvis Needs Boats was the first predominantly undergrad team to win the contest since Oxygen Is For Losers' May 1990 victory, a half-decade previous. A development hailed by all. Vicious Chicken of Bristol (the Python team) enjoyed their best showing since winning the contest four years earlier as Five Is Right Out. In third all night long, they nabbed second place with their 8th Hour Bonus and 2nd Super Bonus performances, displacing an undermanned and overwhelmed Power of Soup team at the last moment. That outcome seems only just, since Power of Soup had to gratefully steal one of Vicious Chicken's two phone lines around 11:30. A thin and watery Soup had between 5 and 8 players, but the points-per-person performance of the night came from the two-player Mmmm
