This contest was a triumphant return of Trivia to WCFM, as graduating seniors Beautiful Human Submarines put on a technically flawless contest.
Congrats to those Beautiful Human Submarines! What an amazingly smooth contest, at least for the half of it I was able to attend. Love being back at WCFM! Well done!!!
Plus, off the top, there were an unusual number of sports questions, including the first part of the anagram super. Sports used to be a staple of the contest and it has been a very long time since it has played any role at all -- although there was a fantastic baseball super back in 2011, the Ohio Players contest.
If I have my facts right, Steve Homer was on the Ohio Players -- and a member of the winning this team time around as well, "US Versus Good Time in Vegas" . They owe their name to "Dr. Strangelove", and their full team name, which is the full contents of the survival kits in the movie, has a wonderful echo for me. It was the answer to the 1-2 AM bonus of my very first contest in December, 1973.

I'm Ben, the incoming member of the class of 2021, and on behalf of United States vs. Good Time in Vegas, I have to give as much praise as possible to Beautiful Human Submarines for a contest well done. Everyone on our end had a great deal of fun participating last night/this morning, and it's all thanks to you guys!
In addition, I wish today could be a day for rest and celebration, but for five members of our team, tonight is prom! So we'll rest and celebrate tomorrow and have an incredibly drowsy yet blissful prom tonight.
Once again, thanks for everything, and if we ever run into any roadblocks, we'll definitely turn to the listserv for assistance!
