Hi all,

*TL;DR:*
- We will be onboarding during our first engineering hours *this Sunday
in Wachenheim 113,* *12pm-1:30pm *for back-end engineers
<https://github.com/WilliamsStudentsOnline/onboarding-backend> and
*1:30pm-3pm* for front-end engineers
<https://github.com/WilliamsStudentsOnline/onboarding-frontend>. Feel free
to come around 1-2 if you're interested in both. Food TBD.
    - Please complete the section titled "Setting up your dev
environment" *prior
to onboarding*. Instructions can be found in the READMEs of the
repositories linked above.
- *Project proposals and team signups are live here
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fH2zaA00AQeoRXjiGD5hifOakTVn2uZvEs0fCyt3nd8/edit?usp=sharing>.*
Please
read through these! Teams will be created after onboarding. Email us with
any questions, or wait until engineering hours. Up to you!

*Onboarding*
We will be starting onboarding for new (and returning, if you want!)
engineers during our first engineering hours on Sunday. These hours don't
reflect our more permanent schedule, which will be decided by the responses
to the signup form. If you can't make it this Sunday, email us! We can
onboard you at a later engineering hours, or figure out a better time to
meet. Onboarding will consist of
- Debugging issues with your dev environment (which *must* be setup
beforehand)
- Adding you to the GitHub
- Helping you pick a project and answering any questions you might have
- Walking you through some tutorials to help you get acquainted with the
WSO codebase and front/back-end web development

*Project signups*
Project proposals are live at this doc
<https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fH2zaA00AQeoRXjiGD5hifOakTVn2uZvEs0fCyt3nd8/edit?usp=sharing>,
which contains the signup form at the top. *Please read through this!* It
contains some information about how we'll be organizing WSO this year, as
well as more details about each project to help you decide what you want to
work on. If you end up hating it/feeling lost, you can also always change
projects later.

Thanks and see you at engineering hours!
