Our shared and licensed programs like Photoshop and Dreamweaver require a "key" to authenticate on our network. The Keyserver client is the component that verifies you are connected to the Williams network to allow these applications to run. When you download software from the OIT software page you can run the applications as long as you are on campus.

  • Enter your unix login and password to download the file.
  • Once you download and install the keyserver, run it.
  • At the Client Network Connection Window, the protocol should be TCP/IP, the name source should be Windows Logon, and in the Enter the Keyserver’s name or address field, type: keyserver.williams.edu
  • Once the settings are correct, you will need to log in to the Keyserver once by clicking 'log on' (or something like that). You will get a message saying that you will be automatically logged on from now on.
  • Close the window, and you're done.
