This page attempts to provide a mechanism for helps students to coordinate plan their co-op picks in 2006. Basic idea It does this by allowing students with lower lottery numbers to publicize their group size and house preferences. This, is that people turn, allows students with high picks can let others know where they intend higher lottery numbers to pick so that lower ranked students can focus their energies plan accordingly. Groups may might also try be inspired, given what they can learn from this forum, to coordinate on or negotiate living arrangements within specific houses. Initial idea due In order to Thomas Kindred. Please make this forum successful, please edit this page by , inserting your group ('s size, names, and likely selection) at the appropriate spotpreferences.
People should feel free to add notes about their hopes, dreams and aspirations for the house in In order to increase the likelihood that housemates from different pick groups will get along. Note also , you're encouraged to describe the social environment that the page history tab below provides information on at least one likely pick your group memberenvisions. Sure It would be especially niceif you provided the names of the other students in your group, though not just to make coordination possible, but because accountability is part of the way of the Eph. (Although, if it should be noted that there's a way to track even those who don't provide their name: the Page History tab reveals the names were provided by allof everyone who edits this page). Honesty and openness is It would also be nice if students didn't employ sly intimidation tactics under the guise of straightforwardness, since such tactics are decidedly not the way of the Eph.Don't try to scare others away from your favorite house. (Speaking of which, could group #3 identify themselves?)
Hopefully, sly intimidation tactics under the guise of straightforwardness are not the ways of the Eph. Seriously you guys, be greatful you got a high Co-Op pick, don't whine or try to weasle your way into the one you deem "the best" by scaring people out of picking into it. Take Some advice from a current Coco-Op op inhabitant, it : Relax. It will all work out--. No matter where you live, you will have an amazing senior years year with your friends no matter what house you live in. (Oh, and if you are going shopping around to visit usdecide which co-op you want, please do so make your visits only at a reasonable hour. (Credits: Thomas Kindred suggested that WSO host this discussion, and Alan Cardova suggested that The Wiki be the place to do so.).
Speaking of which, given group 3's interest in determining where people with better choices than them live, perhaps they could identify themselves?
