Changes

The music major at Williams is pretty unorthodox. It has a smaller focus on theory and performing than you might expect, and a larger focus on music history, ethnomusicology, and composition than you might expect. Overall, it's a great department to get your feet wet with a really wide variety of musical activities and to discover what you really enjoy most in music. Alumni include [[Stephen Sondheim 50]].

Most of the offices and classrooms used by the music department can be found in [[Bernhard Music Center]], while performance spaces include [[Chapin Hall]] and [[Brooks-Rogers]].
