In addition to our weekly Sunday masses at the incredibly convenient time of 4:30 PM, the Newman Room, located in the basement of Thompson Chapel, is open to students 24 hrs. Just swipe your card (after 10pm) to enter or walk in via the door facing Stetson. Great place to study, hang out, grab a late night snack, cook, vegetaterelax, go to Pizza and Prayer (rosary and food!), gather for our monthly dinner, or take a quiet moment to pray in the smaller chapel, (though not necessarily in that order). We hold most of our weekly events there (Midweek Mass on Tues. and Thurs. 5:00, Pizza & Prayer Wed. 7:00, Eucharistic Adoration Fri. 12:15-1:15, Newman Reads Sat. 4:00). On most weekends, the Newman Room will host a social event (board game and movie nights are especially popular). The group also sponsors trips, service projects, and speakers throughout the year. Fr. Caster, the college's Catholic chaplain, celebrates student masses and is available as a resource for all students.
