→What is Frosh Revue?
No matter who you ask, no matter when you ask, no matter how you ask, it will always be abundantly unclear what Frosh Revue actually is, even to the people who are a part of it. It is equal parts cult, theater troupe, dance team, fraternity (but one of the nerdy ones), and spiritual awakening. Also, it was allegedly started at Williams by legendary [[Stephen Sondheim]], class of 1950.
Each year, auditions are held for Frosh Revue, where incoming frosh are given 10 minutes in front of the directors of the group to do absolutely anything they want (like literally, anything). See [[Legendary Past Auditions]] for examples.
Approximately 10 freshman are selected to be a part of the group, and they proceed to rehearse almost every single night of the first half of fall semester in order to put on a semi-comedy, semi-improv, semi-dance, semi-propaganda ad for [[Family Days]]. They spend so much time together that they basically become family!
