The Elizabethans is nominally a madrigal group, but in truth they don't sing too many madrigals. They're really a group that sings an almost completely non-pop repertoire, focusing on anything that they find beautiful, intriguing, or humorous from the wide world of music outside of a beatbox.[[Category:Groups]]
Founded in Winter Study 1993, the The '''Elizabethans'''bethans (as they call themselves) are the unofficial official were a 6-15 member a cappella cappela group of that sang sacred and secular choral music from the Middle Ages to the [[Odd quad|Odd Quad]]present. They perform several times a year and tour New England every spring break. They are known for A large portion of their quirkinessrepertoire came from the Renaissance, but they also sang folk songs, their frequently challenging repertoirespirituals, their Renaissance performing garbjazz standards, and their unfathomable obsession with sheepmore. CD titles include "The Food In addition to giving a concert at the end of Loveeach semester," "Live From Albert Square," "Madrigal Inferno," they toured New England over spring break and their latest, "Set Me as produced a SealCD every two years. Their two most recently attested directors were [[Maia McCormick]] '14 and [[Jasmine Thomasian]] '15."
