Capball is the general term for any organized sport that uses the flicking (or 'finger-slinging') of plastic caps as a major component. These sports can take a number of different forms, usually depending on the type of cap and field of play available, as well as the number of participants.
Capball is usually played with [http://gero.hiho.jp/caps8/cap734.jpg orange Gatorade] or [http://www.cornerstonebranding.com/site/portfolio/portifoliopics/CCC-Powerade-On-the-Field.jpg black Powerade] caps, which fit well to the hand. Smaller plastic caps are nearly impossible to flick, and larger ones do not fly as far. The infamous [http://www.nesquik.com/images/nes_rtd_logo.jpg blue NesQuik cap] can be finger-slung, but with reduced arc, speed, and distance.
In Capball's first year at Williams ([http://wso.williams.edu/wiki/index.php/Sage_Hall [Sage Hall]] basement-style Capball), the sport often took on a hybrid baseball form, in which [http://www.fordogtrainer.com/pics/agitation-stick/bamboo-agitation-stick/bamboo-agitation-stick-schutzhund-stick-bamboo-agitation.jpg bamboo ], [http://common.weblogsinc.com/common/images/4585937625971248.JPG?0.296969483558135 broken crutch,] and [http://www.trincoll.edu/~kclark2/images/Jill's%20Monkey%20Face.jpg massive, erect penises] were swung at the projectile cap. Gloves of [http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/01-Feb-2003/532-coldweather_glove.jpg this type] allow for maximum comfort and control. In the specific case of Fischler's gloves (which have never been photographed), coolness of apparel played a signficant role in the game itself. O'Hanlon '06, in particular, found himself fearful of the Scooby emblem emblazoned on their backs, sometimes retreating to his room in response to the gloves' [http://www.virgin.net/lifestyle/celebrity/galleries/chipofftheoldblock/pix/06_main.jpg overwhelming sheen].
