Co-op Pick 2006

Revision as of 00:46, February 9, 2006 by 07amb (talk | contribs)

This page attempts to provide a mechanism for students to coordinate their co-op picks in 2006. Basic idea is that people with high picks can let others know where they intend to pick so that lower ranked students can focus their energies accordingly. Groups may also try to coordinate on specific houses. Initial idea due to Thomas Kindred. Please edit this page by inserting your group (and likely selection) at the appropriate spot.

People should feel free to add notes about their hopes, dreams and aspirations for the house in order to increase the likelihood that housemates from different pick groups will get along. Note also that the page history tab below provides information on at least one likely pick group member. Sure would be nice, though , if names were provided by all. Honesty and openness is the way of the Eph.

GROUP 6: The guys of group 3 would really like to know who you are. Any info?

  1. 6 Milham. Laura Lee, Emily Button, Devin Yagel, Jen Menzies, Allegra Funsten, Angela Doyle.
  2. 7 Doughty <-- In the event that we end up in Doughty with four extra rooms, I feel obliged to mention that we already have four vegetarians who are extraordinarily squeamish about the presence of meat and beer and noise. In fact, they hate it when I blast my music. --> Chung, Parsons, Koppe, Moscoe, Platt, Martin, Montgomery.
  3. 4 Milham - We want to be very straightforward about the fact that we see Milham as having a crucial tradition as a party house, and feel it is our duty to continue this tradition. There is a very large possibility that if six people pick in before us, we will pick in and throw parties. We just want to be honest about this. We would also, however, love to know who is in the pick right behind us, because this could influence things. Who are you, pick 4? <question, how are you guys going to deal with having too many people for the house? is one droping out?)
  4. 7 Lambert Elizabeth Pierce, Natalie Vokes, Alison Penning, Katie Baldiga, Courtney Gainer, Kate Geohagen, Colleen Gerritty
  5. 6 WE ARE DESPERATE for LAMBERT, MILHAM, or DOUGHTY. These have always been really fun PARTY spots. We will be really disappointed if people who dont want to throw parties live in big traditionally "party houses." Truthfully, we think all the co-ops are equally nice (room size, clean, etc.) for different reasons. The co-ops that we listed are traditionally the party houses because of the way they are set up (the large central rooms) and we really want to be able to throw parties for a lot of people so everyone on campus can enjoy them, but we can't do this with all the co-ops. We really hope to get one of these three just because the way the co-ops are set up fit with our interests, and a lot of the student body's interests, for senior year. Please reconsider your interests and what you want your senior year to be like.

Thanks, see you tomorrow night (Ali Beswick, Kate WHipple, Cathleen Clark, Meghan Guinne, Pilar, and Rebecca)
